Diaphragmatic Breathing, also called deep breathing or belly breathing, is a simple technique to help manage stress caused by GI conditions. When you practice this type of deep breathing you activate the diaphragm creating a gentle massaging action felt by internal organs (like the intestines and stomach). This can reduce abdominal pain, bloating and constipation.
